I could remember when I got my phone newly it takes less than an hour for the battery to show green(full), but as time goes by the duration for full charging kept on increasing, as a tech savvy I decided to find solution to this problem of my phone not charging fast again, which I will share with you today.
As the saying goes nothing last forever, this is also applicable to our desirable gadgets. One thing clear is that usage causes wear and tear of device and cells that stores energy(battery) also experience this far more than any other parts of the mobile phone.
So, today what are the possible ways we can enjoy the days of fast charging again on our smartphones.
Here I will share 5 different ways you can effectively make your smartphone charge faster.
1. Replace Charging Cable: Do you know your charging cable also wear and tear? Also do you know the shorter the cable length the faster it powers your smartphone? I guess you said yes, OK. The default charger after sometime will reduce power transmission rate and this leads to slower boosting rate for smartphones.
Consider changing your charging cable and enjoy a little faster charging rate.

2. Stop to Use Your Phone While Charging: I know most of us would have experience phone being hot while charging at the same time browsing, when browsing a lot of applications are turned on which later demand higher energy far more than the input, which tends to make the phone become hot and phone hotness has a negative impact on phone batteries because it weaken the battery cells.
Do this;
4. Avoid Charging From Power bank, Laptop and other devices that allows USB channel- I guess you that's weird right? That's not the right thing to do, there is an expected input rate for smartphone which these USB ports cannot release they're basically meant for transmitting data not charging, they do not enough current for a device to charge. Hence, slow charging. E.g Output Current of USB
If you don’t have a charger nearby and using PC USB port as a last resort. It would be great if you connect your device to a USB 3.0 (blue) port.
5. Finally, Replace Your Battery: If you’ve been using your device for more than 1 year, and it takes more than 3hours to charge and less than 5hours to discharge, then it’s time to look for a replacement.
Note: it's abnormal for a phone battery to charge for 4hours even though it's 5000MAH, that shows the battery as already diminished in power in take.
Do this;
- Close/End all the applications that are running
- Turn off WiFi, Bluetooth and GPS
3. Use Airplane Mode: this is also an effective way to charge your phone faster because 3G roaming service itself consume more energy also in airplane mode most applications demanding energy are reduced drastically, the only demerit is that you won't have access to internet.

- USB 2.0 can provide up to 500mAH
- USB 3.0 can provide up to 900mAH
